Rick Rule: Dollar purchasing power deteriorates against gold over time
Dollar’s decline versus gold discussed

Rick Rule raises concerns about the erosion of U.S. dollar purchasing power over time by comparing it to the price of gold.

He questions whether real estate prices have genuinely increased, or if the decline in the dollar's value is the primary factor making assets like real estate appear more expensive.

Rule has previously examined market valuations in different asset classes. In a June 18 event, he evaluated ten gold and silver stocks in what he called a once in 50 years grading. On June 19, he discussed the outlook for natural resource stocks during a BNN Bloomberg Market Call segment.
