Nick Timiraos has previously reported on internal policy debates at the Fed, including Kevin Hassett's view that a rate hike would be a macroeconomic mistake. In another instance, he covered NY Fed chief John Williams' approach to keeping policy on hold unless monthly core inflation rises above a set threshold, as detailed here. These reports point to ongoing discussions within the Federal Reserve over policy direction and decision-making frameworks.
