Ryan Detrick: S&P 500 advance/decline line nearing new highs after strong stock gains
S&P 500 advance/decline line approaches highs

Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist at Carson Group, reports that 325 stocks in the S&P 500 closed higher today, marking a second consecutive day with more than 300 gainers.

He adds that the S&P 500 advance/decline line is now just one strong day away from reaching new highs.

Detrick recently highlighted that memory chip stocks including Micron, AMAT, WDC, and STX are down over 20% from recent highs. Earlier this year, he noted that Micron is now considered a growth stock and Amazon has shifted to value status. These updates reflect Detrick’s continuing analysis of trends across major equity benchmarks and sectors.
