Muneeb Ali: Bitcoin ecosystem focuses on AI security following Coldcard incident
Bitcoin turns to AI for security boost

Muneeb Ali, CEO at Trust Machines, highlighted that a recent attack on Coldcard has prompted the Bitcoin ecosystem to take artificial intelligence threats more seriously and implement defensive AI models.

He pointed out that Stacks developers have been working with AI tools for over a year, deploying frontier lab tokens and running local models alongside traditional human audits. Ali added that more work remains as the ecosystem continues to improve its security posture.

Ali has previously drawn attention to a draft of the Stacks mission statement and sought community feedback. Earlier this year, he reported a Stacks on-chain vote that passed with 99% support for a Bitcoin staking upgrade. These developments reflect ongoing engagement with the Stacks and Bitcoin communities on protocol governance and security.
