Silvergate managed large deposit run

Marty Bent, founder and podcaster at TFTC, questions how many banks could manage a 70% deposit run and still pay back all depositors.

He points out that Silvergate did so but was punished, attributing this to the Biden administration's disapproval of Silvergate's clientele.

Bent has previously raised concerns about technology restrictions for Bitcoin users. In a recent piece, he argued that restrictive AI guardrails hinder law-abiding individuals. He maintains that Bitcoin advocates should have full access to advanced tools.
