Diesel futures remain elevated despite export ban discussions, Joe Weisenthal notes
Diesel export ban fails to ease prices

Joe Weisenthal, executive editor of news for Bloomberg Digital at Bloomberg L.P., comments on the continued strength of diesel futures despite growing discussions about a possible diesel export ban.

He points out there is no domestic glut, and references commentary that suggests an export ban could be both damaging and ineffective.

Weisenthal has tracked major market events in earlier coverage. In September, he reported that Brent oil approached $100 per barrel following attacks on Saudi energy facilities. He has also highlighted active market discussions among more than 14,000 members of the Odd Lots Discord.
