Caitlin Long, founder and CEO of Avanti Bank & Trust at Custodia Bank, acknowledged the original architects behind Counterparty. She credited Adam Krellenstein, Evan Wagner, and Robby Dermody for co-creating Counterparty and co-founding Symbiont in 2014. Long clarified she was not one of the original developers but highlighted that Adam and Evan are now working with Unspendable Labs.

Long has previously criticized government actions toward banks, including in her assessment of the Biden administration’s handling of Silvergate Bank.
