S&P 500 avoids 1% drop for over 50 trading days, Lance Roberts notes
S&P 500, NYSE mark historic streaks

The S&P 500 has surpassed 50 consecutive trading days without a single-session decline of 1% or more, while the New York Stock Exchange has recorded over 220 sessions in which declining stocks did not amount to at least 80% of trading volume. This marks the longest such streaks for both indices since at least 1996.

Lance Roberts reported these figures, citing data posted by @thedailyshot.

Roberts has previously highlighted that the S&P 500’s market-implied long-term growth rate stands at 10 percent, which he notes is above average but below dot-com era levels (see article). In another report, he questioned whether corporate guidance could become a key catalyst for equities as investors watch for new drivers (see article). These observations frame his ongoing coverage of factors shaping stock market momentum.
