Building financial systems on bitcoin raises questions, Leon Wankum notes
Bitcoin and real estate in finance

Leon Wankum, a Bitcoin writer, crypto commentator, educator and real estate investor, questioned how financial systems might change if they become increasingly built around bitcoin instead of more traditional assets like real estate.

Wankum argued that real estate introduces significant friction into current financial systems and raised the possibility of different outcomes if these systems were more centered on bitcoin.

Wankum previously discussed how Bitcoin is influencing real estate investing during a presentation in Nashville, where he examined ideas from his book Digital Real Estate in a recent article. He has also noted that real estate holding companies with cash-flow properties could become Bitcoin treasury companies to fund preferred dividends, according to another report. These observations have contributed to his ongoing commentary on the intersection of real estate and digital assets.
