AI infrastructure faces investor caution

Spiros Margaris, founder and owner of Margaris Ventures, expressed optimism about artificial intelligence but acknowledged that developing its required infrastructure is difficult.

He noted that investors are becoming more careful about lending money to data center projects. Margaris suggested that this caution is not necessarily negative, emphasizing that while AI is likely to continue expanding, not every investment will achieve equal results.

Margaris previously highlighted rising competition in the AI sector, noting that lower pricing benefits customers but puts pressure on company profits and valuations. He also reported that Bank of America hired 1,000 additional contractors to address AI-identified security issues. The bank expects AI to generate $700 million in savings next year.
