Meshpay integrates Visa Pay for stablecoins

Meshpay has become the first stablecoin partner to integrate Visa Pay, enabling a native payment experience for users to spend stablecoins at Visa merchants. Cuy Sheffield, vice president and global head of crypto at Visa, shared the announcement.

Last month, Visa Direct stablecoin pre-funding went live with Inyo Global as the first enabler, according to Cuy Sheffield. Earlier this year, Sheffield also announced the expansion of Visa’s crypto team with the inclusion of Atum, citing ongoing group growth and future plans. The Atum team was recognized for its contribution in a separate announcement.
