HazelNetwork tokenized loan payment in Dallas

The first-ever settlement of a loan principal and interest payment using a HazelNetwork tokenized deposit is set to be discussed at an upcoming event in Dallas.

Caitlin Long, who serves as founder and CEO of Avanti Bank & Trust, announced that she will join MaxfieldOnBanks, Vantage Bank, and another Texas bank at the event in two weeks to cover this bank-to-bank use case. Details about the second participating Texas bank will be announced soon.

Long has previously advised banks to plan for potential OCC restrictions on crypto custody, rather than expecting full charter withdrawal, in recent commentary. She has also claimed that the U.S. Federal Reserve blocked a bank merger due to concerns about the target institution’s pro-crypto stance, according to her statements. These prior positions highlight recurring regulatory considerations for banks involved with digital assets.
