Ten-year bond yield drops sharply

The yield on the ten-year bond fell from 5.36% to 4.95% over the course of a week.

Stephanie Link, managing director and portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors, described this move as incredible and said bonds had become too cheap. She also added that equities could be next to move, noting that multiples have corrected 17% from their highs.

Link has commented on corporate earnings shifts in recent weeks. She highlighted Micron Technology's triple-digit revenue and EPS growth driven by performance across end markets. In a separate note, Link observed a 7% decline in XLK as financials began to recover and more S&P 500 companies prepared to report results next week (full article).
