Anthropic ARR jump linked to token cuts

Anthropic's annual recurring revenue (ARR) has likely accelerated in October after the company reduced token prices, according to Gavin Baker, CIO at Atreides Management. Baker added that a similar pattern occurred across the broader AI market, where GPU rental prices increased while token prices declined.

Earlier this year, Baker reported that Deepseek earned $38 per GPU hour in inference revenue off-peak, scaling to $100 billion per gigawatt during peak periods here. He has also discussed the potential for high frequency trading and cyber warfare to drive $200 billion deals by 2027 here. These insights offer additional context to his recent observations on shifting AI-related pricing.
