OpenAI completed Jalapeno in nine months using its own AI technology, while a 15-person Anthropic team is now performing a similar project with Claude, according to reporting from The Information.

Deirdre Bosa noted that this could be a challenging setup for SNPS and CDNS, as these firms are traditionally paid per engineer. Bosa also pointed out that SMH is up approximately 44% this year, while SNPS and CDNS are flat.
