BT Group consolidates as GBX 210 remains key resistance
BT Group shares continue to hold above GBX 205, although momentum remains insufficient for a decisive move toward key resistance at GBX 210.
BT shares are consolidating after their recent recovery, with investors remaining cautious ahead of the company’s next update and fresh signals on strategy.
Openreach regulation adds another layer of uncertainty. Ofcom’s consultation period on the division’s new commercial offers closed on August 27, with a final regulatory decision expected by the end of September.

GBX 205 support keeps BT's bullish setup intact
BT shares remain above the key GBX 205 level, keeping the short-term advantage with buyers for now. Momentum, however, has not been strong enough to produce a convincing test of resistance at GBX 210.
A sustained move above GBX 210 would provide important confirmation that the recovery is continuing. In that case, the next target would remain the previously discussed GBX 220 level.
The bearish case would come back into focus if BT loses GBX 205. A sustained move below this level would increase the probability of a return toward GBX 200, where psychological support coincides with the 200-day SMA.
BT outlook stays positive while GBX 205 holds
BT Group’s current structure remains moderately positive as long as the shares hold above GBX 205. However, the absence of a fresh major catalyst and the failure to clear GBX 210 continue to limit further upside.
A break above GBX 210 would strengthen the bullish case and bring GBX 220 back into focus. A move below GBX 205, by contrast, would increase the risk of a pullback toward GBX 200, which remains a key support area for the medium-term structure.
