Can Nvidia’s reversal signal drive a move back toward $223?
A bearish reversal signal raises the risk of a short-term NVDA pullback

Nvidia reached the previously highlighted $232.30 target, but momentum began to weaken after four consecutive sessions of gains. Fresh signals from the AI infrastructure sector remain strong, although the technical risk of a short-term correction has increased.

The Financial Times reported that Nvidia partner IREN expects to invest up to $30 billion in AI infrastructure by June 2027. Co-CEO Daniel Roberts believes global demand for computing capacity could remain structurally above available supply as AI agents and more compute-intensive models continue to develop. Nvidia is connected to IREN as a supplier, customer and investor.

Capital spending on this scale continues to reinforce the view that demand for AI compute remains strong beyond the largest hyperscalers.

There will be no regular NVDA trading today, as Nasdaq is closed on September 7 for Labor Day. The next full market reaction will therefore come on Tuesday, September 8.

Reversal signal puts $225–223 back in focus

Nvidia stock reached the previously identified $232.30 target. However, after four consecutive sessions of gains, a reversal candle formed on the daily chart on relatively high volume, increasing the probability of a short-term correction.

In that case, the main downside target would be the $225–223 liquidity zone, where two unfilled price gaps from August 18 and August 27, 2026 remain.

A decisive break above $234.76, the September 4 session high, would invalidate this scenario.

Strong AI demand meets rising short-term correction risk

Nvidia’s fundamental backdrop remains strong, with continued AI infrastructure expansion showing that demand for computing capacity is still far from saturated. After four straight sessions of gains, however, part of that optimism is already reflected in the price.

U.S. inflation data could add another source of volatility, with PPI due on September 10 and CPI on September 11. After the long weekend, the technical case for a pullback toward $225–223 therefore remains relevant as long as NVDA stays below $234.76.
