Broader tokenization efforts expand as digital asset partnerships grow

Nasdaq Inc expanded its partnership with Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, to develop the Nasdaq Equity Token framework and a new market surveillance agreement. These actions deepen Nasdaq's involvement in tokenized markets and aim to enhance its product portfolio and regulatory infrastructure. Recent company developments center on this increased activity in digital asset frameworks.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, notes that Nasdaq's rebound follows positive news with Kraken, yet the technical structure remains weak. He sees price trapped below key moving averages, with momentum and sentiment signals deeply negative. Sellers continue to dominate, and oscillators confirm market exhaustion on the downside. The 3.42% gain is volatile, without evidence of a sustainable reversal. "This configuration carries high risk — technical and sentiment signals suggest that the rally could quickly fade if sellers reassert pressure," Kharitonov states.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, highlights Nasdaq's active push into digital assets through its partnership with Kraken as a catalyst for long-term value. He believes that institutional adoption and regulatory advancements will support the company's momentum. The bullish structure remains intact given strong 200-day support. Karapetjanc sees scope for further growth once current overhang subsides. "Market offers multiple setups to the upside, and further normalization could unlock another leg higher," he says.
Sholanke Dele, market strategist, views the recent rebound with caution amid bearish technical signals. He sees short-term seller dominance, confirmed by weak momentum and oversold oscillators. The strategic alliance with Kraken may not offset prevailing market headwinds. "Any upside may be short-lived — downside risk dominates while macro sentiment stays fragile," Dele warns.

Short-term bearish momentum persists as oversold signals intensify

Nasdaq trades below the 20-day ($95.86) and 50-day ($94.16) moving averages but holds above the 200-day ($90.53), indicating short- and medium-term pressure from sellers with longer-term support still intact. The near-term ceiling stands at $92.72, with the nearest floor at $91.62; medium-term trend confirmation remains bullish based on the 50-day/200-day alignment. Momentum indicators confirm a weak tone. MACD and Average Directional Index (ADX) are both in sell mode, signaling seller control. Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 30.82, showing oversold conditions alongside the Stochastic RSI at zero, while Commodity Channel Index (CCI) and Bull/Bear Power (BBP) both indicate a deeply oversold environment with sellers dominating intraday momentum. The Awesome Oscillator (AO) supports this negative bias. Nasdaq is up $3.03 or 3.42% at $91.75 after opening with an upside gap of $0.35 (0.39%), now trading near the day's high. Intraday volatility stands at 3.57%, reflecting strong recovery from the open, even as momentum signals remain bearish.

Earlier, analysts noted fresh listing activity and broader participation across sectors on the National Stock Exchange, including key developments for Kanohar Electricals Limited and Prasol Chemicals Limited. With Nasdaq Inc now deepening its digital asset strategy through an expanded partnership with Payward, traders should monitor whether consolidation near current levels persists or if momentum emerges to break the prevailing range.
