Bearish structure persists as gains retrace below key moving averages

Shares of Lockheed Martin opened the session with a gap up from $522.26 to $536.87, but have since pulled back from those highs. The price remains below its MA-20 at $539.55, as well as below the MA-50 and MA-200, which maintains a bearish daily structure. With RSI at 37.8 nearing oversold territory, the decline is showing early signs of becoming stretched.

Downside favored as odds for upside stay below one in five

Traders should look for a close above $539.55 to indicate that buyers are willing to sustain the advance. The session began with an upward gap from the previous close of $522.26 to an opening at $536.87, followed by a partial retracement. Even so, after a contained move within a narrow range over the past week, the probabilities for the coming trading week are less than 20% for upside and more than 80% for downside, with an expected range between $518.12 and $541.59. A close above the recent resistance would confirm that the move is being accepted, while a drop below $516.2 would show rejection. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays mixed.

Previously it was reported that Lockheed Martin shares remained under pressure despite securing major Army contracts and expanding missile production capacity, with analysts highlighting ongoing downside risks. The current article strengthens this cautious outlook, as technical signals still favor downside for the coming week, making a close above $539.55 the key level for traders to watch for any indication of bullish acceptance.
