Insider sales and AI ambitions drive valuation debate under selling pressure

Credo Technology launched a new SRMO Workstream within the Open Compute Project on October 12, 2026, to standardize micro-emitter optics for AI data center connectivity. The company announced plans for its 1.6T ZeroFlap Active Light Cable, with commercial shipments scheduled for 2027, and reported fiscal 2027 guidance for over $600 million in optical revenue. SEC filings disclosed insider selling activity by the Cheng Huang Family Trust through Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. There is continued market discussion of the company's valuation and product roadmap, though price action has remained under broader selling pressure.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees ongoing weakness in Credo Technology, citing persistent selling pressure confirmed by the price drop below key short- and medium-term moving averages. He is wary of insider selling and notes that technical momentum indicators — especially RSI and BBP readings — signal oversold conditions but give little sign of a reversal. The announced product launch is positive but has not yet generated enough market confidence to offset negative sentiment. Kharitonov warns that the 200-day moving average support at $179.71 may be retested if selling accelerates. "I see limited upside until the stock reclaims the 20-day average and insider activity becomes less of a concern," he says.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, remains constructive on Credo Technology’s prospects. He highlights the ambitious optical revenue target and product pipeline, which reinforce robust fundamentals and a strong narrative for further growth. In his view, the establishment of the SRMO Workstream positions Credo as a technology leader in the AI connectivity space. Karapetjanc believes market volatility offers fresh entry opportunities within a bullish long-term structure. "With commercial shipments on the horizon and a confident fiscal outlook, I expect further upside as market conviction returns," he states.
Sholanke Dele, market strategist, is skeptical about near-term upside for Credo Technology. He points to continued bearish sentiment fueled by insider selling and volatility. Dele notes mixed momentum signals and a gloomy intraday picture with sellers dominating the action. "Risk remains elevated and downside to $173.16 cannot be ignored given the current market tone," he cautions.

Mixed momentum and weak trend as key averages bracket trading

Credo Technology is trading below its 20-day and 50-day moving averages at $198.87 and $209.31, respectively, but remains above the 200-day moving average at $179.71. This setup signals ongoing short- and medium-term selling pressure with a longer-term bullish undertone, while the Ichimoku Kijun at $190.46 acts as near-term support and the 20-day moving average forms the nearest resistance. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 48.07 and signals a Sell, the MACD signals a Buy, and the Average Directional Index (ADX) at 11.94 points to a weak and neutral trend. The Stochastic RSI is at 0 and Bull/Bear Power (BBP) is –5.12, highlighting intraday seller strength and oversold conditions. The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) and Awesome Oscillator (AO) are neutral, presenting a mixed momentum picture. The stock sits mid-range between session extremes with intraday volatility at 7.63%. Momentum and oscillators lean negative despite some divergence.

Earlier, analysts noted that Credo Technology's persistent selling pressure was at odds with the company's strong fundamentals following a previous product announcement. The latest technical and trading signals confirm ongoing short- and medium-term weakness, making the $190.46 near-term support a critical level to watch for further downside risk.
