CrowdStrike shares face downside risk as technical signals weaken
CrowdStrike shares risk ahead

CrowdStrike shares have surged more than threefold from this year's low to last week's record high, but chart patterns now point to a higher risk of a pullback. Technical indicators suggest the cybersecurity stock could face further losses unless buyers regain control above key price levels.

Highlights

  • CrowdStrike formed a weekly doji at a record high of $286.99, followed by falling prices and bearish signals from RSI and MACD momentum indicators.
  • Key technical support levels are identified at $215, $200, and $180 if the pullback from recent highs continues.
  • Bearish sentiment could weaken if CrowdStrike reclaims the $262–$263 zone or resumes its uptrend above the $276–$277 resistance range.

Chart signals point to possible retreat

As reported by Reuters, CrowdStrike's weekly chart shows a doji formation after the stock reached a record high of $286.99 last week, based on data supplied by LSEG. The pattern, which appears when a stock closes near where it opened after pulling back from highs and lows, often signals market indecision and can warn of losses after a rally.

The bearish case gains weight because the doji is followed by falling prices this week. Technical analysts also look for confirmation from momentum gauges, and both the weekly Relative Strength Index and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence are pointing lower.

If the retreat extends, chart-based support levels are seen around $215 first, followed by $200 and then $180. Analysts use tools such as trend channels and Bollinger Bands to estimate where pullbacks during a rally may start to stabilize.

Key levels now shape the outlook

The near-term outlook for CrowdStrike depends on whether bulls can reclaim areas that would weaken the negative chart setup. A move back above the $262 to $263 range would likely ease the bearish view, while a rise beyond $276 to $277 could indicate the broader uptrend is resuming.

Technical analysis focuses on past price action to identify support and resistance levels, as well as shifts in momentum between buyers and sellers. CrowdStrike did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment on the market analysis.

Our earlier article on Micron Technology’s weakening chart momentum explained how the stock slipped below a rising wedge on the weekly chart, a pattern that often signals a rally is running out of steam. We also noted RSI and MACD rolling over, with analysts outlining downside support targets and the resistance zone Micron would need to reclaim to ease the bearish setup.
