Shares of Fortinet lost the MA-20 at $181.94 during the session after previously closing above it. The price now sits below the MA-20 but remains above the MA-50 and MA-200, creating a split daily structure that points to ongoing uncertainty in direction. The nearest resistance is the Ichimoku Kijun at $176.08. A stretched reading on Stoch RSI in oversold territory limits further downside from here and supports the potential for stabilization.
Traders should look to a close above $176.08 to gauge whether buyers are committing to follow through. During the session, the price slipped below the MA-20 at $181.94 after closing above it, indicating a shift in daily control. Even so, despite a sustained move lower with a firm trend over the past week, upside probability is 67% and downside is 33% over the next five trading days, with an expected range between $165.21 and $181.22. A drop below $169.19 would show the move is being faded, while a close above resistance would confirm buyers' strength. On the weekly chart the longer-term picture stays firmly constructive.
Earlier, analysts noted that Fortinet’s rollout of agentic AI automation had contributed to a broadly constructive technical outlook. The current shift in price structure amid a major enterprise deployment highlights the importance of monitoring resistance at $176.08, which now serves as a pivotal level for validating a potential upside reversal.
