Optical expansion and revenue gains countered by persistent selling flow

Credo Technology Group recently completed the acquisition of DustPhotonics, marking an expansion in its optical segment. In the latest quarter, the company reported a year-over-year revenue increase of more than 100%, with gross margin declining and cash generation falling short of reported earnings. Institutional activity also continued, as Mirae Asset Global Investments Co. Ltd. disclosed the purchase of 363,696 shares. Product launches and quarterly results were also reported, though price action has remained under broader selling pressure.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees pronounced technical weakness dominating the current setup in Credo Technology Group. The stock's decisive break below all key moving averages and the cluster of bearish momentum signals undermine near-term prospects. He notes that deteriorating gross margins and weak cash generation, even amid triple-digit revenue gains and recent acquisitions, flag unresolved fundamental concerns. Kharitonov points out that institutional buying is not enough to counter persistent seller pressure and mild oversold sentiment. "The mix of sharp drawdown, eroding fundamentals, and lackluster sentiment signals that downside risks substantially outweigh any short-term recovery prospects," he says.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, believes recent strategic moves position Credo Technology Group for further growth. He highlights the successful DustPhotonics acquisition and impressive revenue expansion as signals of strengthening fundamentals. Karapetjanc points to ongoing institutional interest, such as significant inflows from Mirae Asset, as evidence of sustained market confidence. He stresses that the bullish long-term moving average trend remains intact despite near-term volatility. "With strong fundamentals and active institutional backing, I expect the market to offer attractive setups for growth-oriented investors," he says.
Sholanke Dele, market strategist, views the current market structure for Credo Technology Group as fragile. The ongoing selloff and lack of clear momentum make a reversal unlikely in the short term. He is wary of the declining cash generation and weakening intraday sentiment despite recent news. "Without clear signs of improving sentiment or financial resilience, this name remains on my defensive watchlist," he states.

Sustained downside confirmed as technicals align with oversold momentum

Credo Technology Group has broken below its 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages, trading at $144.11 compared to $182.69, $188.38, and $181.07, respectively. This positions the stock under short-, medium-, and long-term moving average levels, suggesting sustained pressure from sellers and confirming a prevailing downward structure, although the long-term MA-50 vs MA-200 alignment remains bullish. The nearest resistance lies at $144.59 and support at $144.08, with all significant long-term trend levels now distant overhead. Momentum assessments paint a bearish picture: the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) signals sell, and the Average Directional Index (ADX) remains neutral, suggesting limited trend strength. Multiple oscillators—Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 38.05, Stochastic RSI at 36.16, and Commodity Channel Index (CCI) at -102.95—highlight mild oversold conditions, while Bull/Bear Power (BBP) at -9.79 confirms sellers dominate intraday momentum with an "oversold" reading. The stock is down $6.87 or 4.55% today, opened with an upside gap of 0.09%, and is trading near the session low. Intraday volatility stands at 5.97%. There is sustained pressure after the open. Momentum and intraday declines broadly align, reinforcing ongoing selling activity.

Earlier, analysts noted that Credo Technology Group faced persistent technical resistance and ongoing downside risk as bearish momentum signals dominated. The latest breakdown below key moving averages and intensification of seller pressure further strengthen this outlook, making the $129.03 support level a critical downside threshold to monitor in the near term.
