Blockchain Analytics and Web3 by Alex Svanevik

Alex Svanevik is the co-founder and CEO of Nansen, a blockchain analytics platform serving institutional investors, regulators, and Web3 developers. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science and began his career as a data science consultant before entering the crypto space in 2017. Since launching Nansen in 2019, he has raised more than $88.2 million in funding, backed by Accel, GIC, and Andreessen Horowitz. The platform now tracks over 250 million labeled wallet addresses and provides real-time intelligence for more than 170 institutional clients, including hedge funds and crypto exchanges.

Under Svanevik’s direction, Nansen launched Nansen Query and Nansen 2—advanced tools for custom blockchain data pipelines and multichain dashboards. In 2025, Nansen published a report on token flows linked to ETF speculation and Ethereum staking outflows, downloaded more than 22,000 times by portfolio managers and analysts. Svanevik frequently speaks on data governance in DeFi, including keynotes at Token2049, ETHGlobal, and the Oslo Freedom Forum. He also serves as an advisor to projects such as WalletConnect, Lido DAO, and Pudgy Penguins.

With a foundation in cognitive analytics and a proven ability to scale enterprise-grade crypto intelligence tools, Svanevik has positioned Nansen as one of the key infrastructures for interpreting digital asset behavior and market transparency.
