Business Leadership and Philanthropy from Michael Rubin

Michael Rubin began his business journey as a teenage entrepreneur and became a serial ecommerce innovator. After selling GSI Commerce to eBay, he founded Fanatics, turning it into a $31 billion valuation behemoth across digital sportswear, trading cards, and betting. In 2025, Fanatics is expanding into global arenas, including licensing deals with the Premier League and Formula 1.

Rubin’s net worth has risen to $11.8 billion, powered by his 60% stake in Fanatics and stakes in secondary ventures like Lids and Mitchell & Ness. He has donated over $150 million to social justice causes and launched “Fanatics Gives,” a new $500 million charitable arm of the company. Rubin also chairs the REFORM Alliance, which has helped drive legislative change in over 12 U.S. states related to probation and parole.
