Crypto Markets and Podcasting by Jason Choi

Jason Choi is the founder of Tangent Ventures and previously served as Head of Research at Spartan Capital, where the crypto portfolio expanded from USD 9 million to over USD 450 million. Since 2018, Choi has invested more than USD 100 million across 60 crypto protocols, including early positions in dYdX, The Graph, and MakerDAO. His cross-chain investment theses often address tokenomics, validator incentives, and governance coordination.

Choi also hosts Blockcrunch, a long-running podcast and research outlet reaching tens of thousands of listeners per episode. Topics covered in 2025 include modular security, ZK proof systems, and stablecoin capital efficiency. Tangent Ventures’ most recent round supported zkLink and AltLayer, underscoring Choi’s focus on liquidity routing and L2 composability.

By blending seed capital with long-form analysis, Choi builds cross-network visibility for emerging crypto infrastructure.
