Brief Look at OceanEx
OceanEx is a centralized cryptocurrency trading platform launched in 2018 for trading digital assets, including tokens from the VeChain ecosystem. In December 2025, a notice published on the official OceanEx website stated that the platform had ceased operations for unspecified reasons and urged users to withdraw any remaining assets. Users were instructed to submit withdrawal requests through the support system, with a note that long-term service availability was not guaranteed.
Earlier in December 2025, OceanEx announced the removal of all trading pairs and the suspension of deposit and withdrawal functions for most tokens. Users were given the option to withdraw assets only until December 31, 2025, UTC+8.
At the time of these announcements, many reviews and industry aggregators marked OceanEx as inactive or high-risk. Public sources contained no warnings from financial regulators and no confirmed inclusion of OceanEx on official blacklists. The available information does not indicate bankruptcy, rebranding, or a transfer of the business to another organization. Instead, it points to a termination of operations and a request for users to withdraw their funds.
