TU Expert Verdict

Editor at Cryptocurrency & Blockchain Department

I can confidently recommend Phemex — it is a highly trusted company that I have personally tested and verified. Its trading conditions and user feedback show that most traders are satisfied, and my own experience confirms its solid and consistently reliable performance.

Phemex is a crypto exchange offering spot markets, futures, and options across 350 cryptocurrencies through web and mobile platforms. Spot fees start at 0.1%, while futures maker and taker fees are 0.01% and 0.06%, and Premium can reduce spot fees to zero. The exchange accepts crypto, bank cards, and bank transfers, supports USD, EUR, GBP, and AUD, and offers staking and yield products with returns reported up to 10% annually.

However, a notable drawback is that Phemex is unavailable to U.S. residents and is not U.S.-regulated. Withdrawals incur fees, PayPal and Google Pay are unsupported, and there is no standalone desktop app, with some advanced order tools unavailable on mobile. Phemex may suit crypto users seeking low fees and broad markets, but is less suited to U.S. residents or users who need broader payment choice or desktop software.

The platform is focused primarily on the English-speaking audience - the main support and the terminal are in English. Both spot trades and open-ended futures are available for trading. Spreads are market, premium mode removes the commission for spot trades completely. To join the affiliate you need to be verified. On the downside, there is no 24/7 chat, only email.

One of the key pluses of Phemex for me was the low commission burden on futures contracts: maker commission 0.01%, taker commission 0.06%. I used the ETH/USDT contract, turnover about $20,000, and the transaction fee was small compared to the profit - total +$200. The possibility to reduce commissions when upgrading VIP level also makes Phemex favorable for active traders.

I've only been trading on the Phemex platform for a short while, but I've already come to appreciate the fact that there's both spot trading and the option to enter into contracts. The range of instruments isn't bad either - crypto-currency pairs, various tokens and trading against the US dollar are available. The only thing that's a little confusing is that communication with technical support is exclusively via e-mail. There's no chat or phone. Sometimes you have to wait longer for an answer than you'd like, especially if the question is urgent. If you're not a beginner and you're already familiar with the platform, you can get to work. But for those who need real-time operational support, this can be an inconvenience.
