eToro review: Ligue 1 partnerships boost platform visibility in France
eToro, the global trading and investment platform, has announced a series of new partnerships in France, becoming the Official Trading Partner of four prominent men’s Ligue 1 clubs starting from the 2025/26 season. The multi-year agreements cover AS Monaco, LOSC Lille, Olympique de Marseille, and Olympique Lyonnais, significantly strengthening eToro’s footprint in European football and reinforcing its brand visibility in one of its key markets.

The move aligns with eToro’s broader strategy of combining financial education with mass-market engagement through sports sponsorships, positioning investing as accessible and community-driven.
Building community through football and investing
“At eToro, we’ve built a global investing community where users connect to share, learn and grow together – much like how football brings people together around a shared passion,” said Valerie Kalifa, Director of Marketing for France at eToro. “Teaming up with Ligue 1 most prestigious clubs – Monaco, Lille, Marseille and Lyon – will help us enhance the sense of community and engagement central to both football and investing, offering French football fans more opportunities for financial education and growth.”
Under the partnerships, eToro will benefit from strong matchday visibility, including branding on pitch-side LED boards and media backdrops. The platform will also feature across the clubs’ digital channels and collaborate on season-long activations such as educational initiatives and matchday events. As part of the agreement, eToro’s logo will appear on the sleeve of LOSC Lille’s jerseys.
Club leaders welcome strategic partnership
Thiago Scuro, AS Monaco CEO, says: “We are delighted to be working with eToro again, a brand with which we share a taste for innovation and boldness. Our previous collaboration was extremely positive for both organisations, which is why we are confident that this new chapter we are about to embark on together will once again be a fruitful one. This partnership also demonstrates AS Monaco’s growing appeal to brands seeking to increase their visibility through sport.”
Olivier Létang, President at LOSC Lille, adds: “We are delighted to welcome eToro as one of our Premium Partners. Beyond visibility, this is a meaningful collaboration: eToro is an innovative, international company that shares our values of performance, transparency, and proximity to its community.”
Alessandro Antonello, CEO of Olympique de Marseille, says: “We are delighted to welcome eToro as an Official Trading Partner of Olympique de Marseille. This partnership unites two brands driven by innovation and community spirit. Together, we aim to offer our supporters new experiences that connect their passion for football with opportunities to learn more about the world of investing.”
Strengthening a pan-european strategy
eToro operates as a multi-asset investment platform offering access to stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrencies, and CFDs, with a strong emphasis on social and educational investing tools. The Ligue 1 partnerships extend its long-standing involvement in sports sponsorships across Europe and signal a continued focus on engaging new audiences through trusted, high-profile institutions.
As the 2025/26 season approaches, the collaborations are expected to play a central role in eToro’s French market strategy, blending brand exposure, community engagement, and financial literacy initiatives.
