Launch of Pepperstone сrypto

Pepperstone Crypto will operate under Australia’s existing regulatory framework and will be supervised by the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre, AUSTRAC. This implies compliance with anti-money laundering and financial monitoring requirements, which are increasingly seen as key trust factors in the crypto industry.

At launch, the Pepperstone offers core spot trading pairs along with support for deposits and withdrawals in Australian dollars. The company says it plans to expand the range of available digital assets and platform functionality as the project develops.

The fixed 0.1 percent commission is positioned as a transparent pricing model. Unlike margin trading and derivatives, the spot model involves the direct purchase and sale of digital assets without the use of leverage.

Company сontext and strategy

Founded in 2010, Pepperstone is known as a provider of online trading services in foreign exchange, CFDs, and other asset classes. The company operates across multiple jurisdictions and emphasizes risk management systems and regulatory compliance. That experience is now being extended to the digital asset sector.

The move into crypto reflects a broader trend of traditional financial market participants expanding into digital assets while relying on established compliance and risk management infrastructure.

Bridging TradFi and crypto

The launch of a regulated spot platform with a 0.1 percent fee and AUD settlement support could intensify competition in the local market. Oversight by AUSTRAC, combined with 16 years of experience in regulated trading environments, is intended to strengthen investor confidence, particularly as regulatory scrutiny of crypto services increases globally.

For Pepperstone, the initiative represents business diversification and product expansion. For the market, it signals continued convergence between traditional finance and the cryptocurrency sector.

In addition, Pepperstone informs that partnership with Aston Martin caps strong 2025 season.
