On October 7, 2026, Gate.io announced the launch of Gate Money at TOKEN2049. Gate Money is a new service integrated into the Gate App (version 8.39.0 and above) that allows users to manage and spend a range of financial assets—including cryptocurrencies, fiat currencies, stocks, ETFs, and gold—from a single account. The service includes features such as fiat deposits and withdrawals, asset-to-asset conversions, yield opportunities, and a Gate Card for spending with either fiat or crypto, supporting both online and offline payments. Gate.io highlighted that users in certain regions may have access to ATM withdrawals and local payment options, and that compliance measures and regulatory licenses are in place. The new platform represents an expansion of Gate.io's offerings from cryptocurrency trading to broader financial services.

Gate.io is a multifunctional cryptocurrency exchange providing spot, margin, futures, and ETF trading, as well as access to tokenized assets and the proprietary GateToken (GT). Users have options for cloud mining, crypto loans, an affiliate program, and multiple educational tools, including an interactive training system and customizable trading strategies. The platform features a TradingView-powered trading terminal, multilingual 24/7 technical support, and offers additional resources like news and live analytics.
