Admirals review: Broker to rename Nasdaq symbols on trading platforms
Global multi-asset broker Admirals has announced the upcoming renaming of Nasdaq trading symbols across its MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 accounts. The update, which takes effect on November 1, 2025, will apply to all Trade.MT4, Trade.MT5, Zero.MT4, and Zero.MT5 account types. The change is part of Admirals’ broader effort to standardize symbol naming conventions and improve clarity for traders across its global platforms.

Under the new structure, the [NQ100] symbol currently used for the NASDAQ100 Index CFD (cash, USD) will be replaced with US100 for Trade.MT4 and Trade.MT5 accounts. Similarly, for Zero.MT4 and Zero.MT5 accounts, the [NQ100]-Z symbol will be renamed US100-Z.

The broker has assured clients that open positions and pending orders associated with these symbols will be automatically updated, requiring no manual action from users. However, traders using Expert Advisors (EAs) or algorithmic trading scripts are advised to update symbol names in their EA or script settings and reconnect them after the renaming process.
If an account has no open positions or pending orders during the change, traders will need to manually add the new symbols to their Market Watch list to continue tracking quotes.
