Trump says he made hundreds of billions of dollars for U.S. on stocks
U.S. President Donald Trump spent more than 10 hours on Sunday posting dozens of AI-generated images on Truth Social. They included scenes depicting Iran’s defeat, Trump on horseback alongside George Washington, and Robert De Niro wearing a shirt that read, “Trump is my president.”
As CNBC reported, one image attracted particular attention. It showed Trump sitting in the White House in front of monitors displaying stock market charts. In the caption, the president claimed that he had made “hundreds of billions of dollars” for the U.S. on stocks and other assets, but provided no calculations or evidence to support the statement.
From the stock market to the war with Iran
Some of the posts focused on the conflict with Iran. In the AI-generated images, Trump watches explosions from a warship, swings a hammer at a map of Iran and depicts the destruction of Iranian infrastructure.
Other images show the president in more fantastical roles: surrounded by futuristic robots, as a wrestler draped in the American flag, and at the head of a Space Force command center.
Trump has regularly posted AI-generated content before, but Sunday’s spree was particularly large, with dozens of such images appearing on his account in a single day.
Trump continues to surprise with unusual initiatives
In recent months, Trump has repeatedly drawn attention with unusual statements and decisions. In late August, he signed an executive order directing federal agencies to refer to Lake Ontario, which is shared by the U.S. and Canada, as Lake America. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney responded that his country would continue using the lake’s existing name.
The president did not stop there. In his latest series of AI-generated posts, he portrayed the Strait of Hormuz as a “new U.S. territory,” shared an image of the Moon with the words “The Moon is Ours,” and even showed New Mexico renamed “New America.” While some of these ideas currently exist only as AI-generated images, they have already become a recognizable part of Trump’s public style.
Earlier, Trump’s representatives sought to revive peace talks on Ukraine.
