GoPro rewards Cristian Calcagno for sandboarding ride with 500 dollar prize in Chile
GoPro has awarded Cristian Calcagno a 500 dollar prize for capturing a sand dune snowboarding session in Chile using the GoPro HERO13 Black.
Despite the end of the winter season, Calcagno continues to pursue snowboarding adventures, this time transitioning to sand dunes. The footage, recognized through the GoPro Awards program, underlines the company's ongoing engagement with the action sports community and its emphasis on user-generated content from around the world.
The company has previously promoted user creativity by awarding $500 for POV skiing footage shot on the GoPro MAX2. Earlier this year, GoPro launched the GoPro MAX 2, an 8K 360 camera, targeting consumers with a paddleboarding sunset campaign.
