Candel Therapeutics 80.4 percent of patients achieve complete response in phase 3 prostate cancer trial
Candel Therapeutics, Inc. announced the publication of its pivotal phase 3 trial results for aglatimagene besadenovec (CAN-2409) in The Lancet Oncology. In the study focusing on localized prostate cancer, 80.4 percent of treated patients achieved a pathological complete response in two-year biopsies, compared to 63.6 percent for those on placebo.
These results highlight substantial progress in prostate cancer research, positioning aglatimagene besadenovec as a potential new treatment option. The findings could have significant implications for future prostate cancer therapies. Shares of Candel Therapeutics trade under the ticker $CADL.
