Aeva Technologies introduced its CityOS platform at ITS America 2026, featuring integrated AI and 4D LiDAR technologies to deliver real-time traffic intelligence for transit agencies.
The company claims CityOS can help improve roadway safety, optimize traffic operations, and support more informed infrastructure decisions. Powered by Aeva Technologies' proprietary Atlas Orion 4D LiDAR, the solution is designed to enable cities and transit authorities to manage urban mobility challenges more effectively.
Aeva Technologies has previously supplied its Atlas 4D LiDAR sensors to Daimler Truck and Torc Robotics for Level 4 autonomous vehicles, according to an earlier delivery announcement. The company’s frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology has also been integrated into an industrial sensor launched with SICK, aimed at improving distance measurement precision, as reported in a recent partnership. These earlier deployments highlight Aeva’s ongoing push into both mobility and industrial automation sectors.
