Allogene Therapeutics targets 1 in 3 LBCL relapses with ALPHA3 trial and MRD testing
Allogene Therapeutics is addressing the significant challenge of relapse in large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL), where approximately one in three patients experience cancer recurrence following first-line treatment.
The company’s ALPHA3 clinical trial combines investigational minimal residual disease (MRD) testing technology with an off-the-shelf CAR-T therapy. Allogene Therapeutics aims to intervene earlier in high-risk patients, potentially improving cure rates with this innovative approach. The company continues to advance its portfolio of CAR-T therapies for hematologic cancers.
Earlier this year, Allogene reviewed early ALPHA3 safety data and assessed the use of investigational cema-cel for MRD-positive LBCL outpatients in community settings in a company update. The firm has also announced plans to share additional pipeline and corporate strategy news during an oncology innovation summit webcast. These activities reflect ongoing efforts to expand its CAR-T therapy portfolio.
