Nextdoor revealed that 64 percent of its community members are parents, surpassing the proportion found on platforms like Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Additionally, the company disclosed that 87 percent of users have purchased a product after initially learning about it on Nextdoor. To provide further insights into this demographic, Nextdoor introduced its new Parents Toolkit, aiming to break down spending patterns and behavior among its parent user base. The data source for these findings is GWI.

Nextdoor has recently addressed challenges facing hyperlocal platforms in divisive environments, as discussed by CEO Nirav Tolia in a Stanford GSB Daring Dialogues event. Earlier, the company encouraged neighborhoods in 16 World Cup host cities to connect ahead of an expected influx of visitors, according to a company announcement. These efforts follow ongoing initiatives to strengthen community engagement on the platform.
