Humacyte hits trial milestone

Humacyte has reached a new clinical milestone in arteriovenous (AV) access for dialysis, unveiling interim Phase 3 (V012) results focused on female patients.

The ATEV product achieved the primary endpoint of the V012 study, delivering statistically significant superiority in catheter-free days with a p-value of 0.00070 compared to autologous arteriovenous options. This milestone supports the potential of Humacyte’s bioengineered vessel for improving outcomes in dialysis access, particularly among female patients.

Humacyte previously announced plans to present interim results from a women-only vascular access study at a specialized forum in June 2026. The company also introduced its Symvess acellular tissue engineered vessels during a hands-on simulation event at VAM TOUCHPOINT, according to a recent demonstration. These developments form part of Humacyte’s ongoing clinical and product initiatives in vascular access.
