NEAR drives protocol level post quantum security in partnership with Ledger
Ledger NEAR post quantum upgrade

Ledger is collaborating with NEAR to advance post quantum security standards at the protocol layer, starting with the NIST-approved FIPS-204 signing scheme.

This partnership aims to reinforce hardware wallet security to withstand the future quantum computing landscape. The collaboration signals heightened industry efforts to raise cryptographic resilience as quantum threats emerge.

Ledger recently launched its Nano Gen5 hardware wallet, which integrates enhanced security features with a user-focused design for crypto storage here. In a separate incident, Ledger's security system stopped a prompt injection attempt, with user intervention preventing a malicious transaction here. The company continues to address evolving security demands for crypto holders.
