GoPro launches PRO Deep Dive Mission 1 featuring advanced 8K Open Gate capture — GoPro unveils 8K60 camera

GoPro has introduced its latest camera capable of capturing footage at 8K resolution with 60 frames per second, equipped with a 1-inch sensor. This enhancement delivers 300 percent more resolution than 4K and allows for significant cropping or zooming while retaining perfect 4K quality.

The new Open Gate capture feature employs the full height of the sensor, enabling greater creative flexibility for video professionals. GoPro continues to position itself at the forefront of camera innovation with these advancements aimed at demanding content creators.

GoPro recently rolled out its PRO 4K240 feature, enabling creators to capture ultra-smooth cinematic slow motion footage in 4K resolution, according to a company announcement. In a separate initiative, GoPro awarded $100 for an inverted pilot photo captured on its MAX 360 camera by Quincy Zlotnick in a community contest. These releases follow the company’s ongoing strategy to enhance its technology portfolio for both professional and consumer use.
