Accuray: 16 APBI treatments with helical TomoTherapy found feasible with low early toxicity in Taiwan study

Clinicians at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital in Taiwan conducted a retrospective analysis of 16 accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) treatment plans using helical TomoTherapy.

The findings concluded that these treatment plans are dosimetrically feasible and exhibit favorable early toxicity profiles. The research provides important data on the viability and safety of advanced radiation therapy techniques for breast cancer treatment in a clinical setting.
