But we saved everything 🙂.
CSX broke ground with the CREATE Program on the 71st Street Grade Separation project on Chicago’s South Side.
The project will lower 71st Street beneath the CSX freight line. It aims to improve safety, reduce congestion, and support more reliable freight movement through Chicagoland.

CSX is trading at $50.74, holding above the SMA-20 ($50.10), SMA-50 ($47.97), and SMA-200 ($41.16), confirming the persistence of short-, medium-, and long-term bullish structures. The Ichimoku Kijun on D1 sits at $49.77, now serving as immediate support, while near-term support is also clustered at the SMA-20 ($50.10) and key support at the SMA-50 ($47.97); immediate resistance is seen at the SMA-5/EMA-5 zone ($51.21–$51.88) with stronger resistance near $53.60, the recent 52-week high.
Short-term momentum is mixed, with MACD on D1 signaling a strong buy, while ADX indicates a mild uptrend that is losing strength. RSI is moderately bullish (56.87), and Stoch RSI is deeply oversold, suggesting the potential for a technical rebound, yet CCI remains neutral. BBP indicates buyers are regaining the upper hand intraday, while the Awesome Oscillator supports the underlying bullish momentum. CSX has fallen $2.49 (4.68%) over the past week, sliding from a previous weekly close of $53.23. The price is currently at the very bottom of the weekly range as volatility stands at 5.49%, and the tone for the week is a steady decline from recent highs.
For the coming week, the expected range is $50.00–$52.40, reflecting moderate movement within 4% of the current price and staying well above the 52-week low ($31.80) but below recent highs. Probability modeling based on W1 indicators yields a very high probability (more than 80%) of further upward price action, with downside risk considered less likely. The baseline scenario anticipates sideways movement between $50.00 and $52.40. A bullish breakout above $52.40 would open a path toward retesting multi-month highs. Conversely, a bearish move below $50.00 would expose the SMA-50 ($47.97) as the next key support.
Previously it was reported that CSX demonstrated persistent bullish momentum, with technical indicators broadly supporting an ongoing upward trend. As market conditions evolve, traders should monitor for any shifts in volume or breakout movement that could set the stage for the prevailing scenario in the weeks ahead.
