Security by design gains urgency in AI and chiplet era, Arteris, Inc. warns
Arteris, Inc. backs security-first design

Arteris, Inc. is calling for security to be embedded within the core design methodology of semiconductor development, rather than being treated as an afterthought or separate workflow.

At the DAC2026 event, company representative Michal Siwinski joined industry leaders to address growing challenges in building trust throughout the silicon lifecycle. The surge in artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and the increasing complexity of chiplet architectures are placing new pressures on designers to implement robust security from the outset. Experts at the event stressed that ensuring security-by-design is now essential for safeguarding next-generation hardware against evolving threats.

Arteris, Inc. has recently accelerated its involvement in the European RIGOLETTO project, expanding efforts toward an open hardware platform for software-defined vehicles, according to company statements. The firm’s FlexNoC interconnect technology was also integrated by Speedata to enhance scalable data center analytics and compute performance (full details). These initiatives highlight Arteris’s ongoing focus on advanced chip design and system-level integration.
