Emergent wins NARCAN Canada deal

Emergent Biosolutions has been awarded a standing offer by the Government of Canada to supply NARCAN Nasal Spray, following a competitive procurement process.

The agreement strengthens the company's footprint in the Canadian pharmaceutical market and reinforces its presence in the opioid overdose intervention space.

Emergent Biosolutions has previously detailed the need for both stockpiling and surge manufacturing to address biological threats, as outlined in its combined preparedness strategy. The company has also proposed integrating these approaches to strengthen global readiness, according to an earlier preparedness model. The latest agreement with the Canadian government builds on these initiatives.
