Pacific Biosciences of California announced the launch of its Vega expert session, introducing SPRQ-Nx chemistry that delivers 50 percent more HiFi data, reaching up to 90 Gb per run. The upgrade reportedly also reduces the cost per gigabase by approximately 40 percent, and supports workflows with 500 ng DNA input for limited samples.

In addition, the company stated that its platform now offers 21 CFR Part 11 support to enable regulated workflows in clinical and other compliant environments.

Pacific Biosciences of California recently launched its HiFi WGS workflow, enabling genome-wide variant calls in under 30 hours according to a prior announcement. The company has also contributed to advances in T2T genomics, with a Cell special issue featuring 13 new complete genome assemblies as reported in earlier coverage. These developments reflect ongoing efforts to expand sequencing solutions and genomic research capabilities.
