Silent agent deployment streamlined by Backblaze for Mac backup management
Backblaze enables silent install

Backblaze announces that its Computer Backup agent now supports fully silent installation, requiring no prompts or post-install steps before beginning backups.

The update is designed for Mac administrators using management tools such as Jamf, Kandji, and Addigy, allowing faster and less disruptive deployment of backup solutions across networks.

Backblaze has also experienced operational challenges in recent months. The company previously reported its drive failure rate rose to 1.73 percent, with higher issues among older and select Seagate models. The new agent update comes as Backblaze addresses both reliability and deployment needs for enterprise customers.
