Anker Innovations expands solar storage push in the Philippines
Decentralized energy demand in the Philippines is drawing more consumer technology brands into residential power solutions as households face high electricity costs and grid reliability concerns. Anker Innovations is entering the market through its Anker SOLIX brand with local partners NAVCO and GoPrime to distribute, install and support solar energy storage systems.
Highlights
- Anker Innovations is launching Anker SOLIX solar energy storage products in the Philippines via partnership with NAVCO for distribution and GoPrime's GoSolar for technical services.
- The SOLIX XE Hybrid, paired with eight to 10 solar panels, can generate an estimated 7,440 to 9,300 kWh annually using Manila-area benchmarks.
- Anker is expanding across Philippine retail and e-commerce channels, offering three household-focused products and exploring installment financing and a wider installer network.
Partnership rollout and product strategy
As reported by BusinessWorld Online, Anker Innovations is bringing Anker SOLIX solar energy storage products to the Philippines through a partnership with NAVCO, a distributor and retailer of consumer electronics brands, and GoPrime, the company behind GoSolar. The company says it is expanding across retail and e-commerce channels nationwide while also exploring installment financing and building a broader installer network to strengthen installation and service capabilities. Under the partnership, NAVCO handles importation, distribution, brand marketing and retail development, while GoSolar manages technical solutions, installation services and after-sales support for home energy systems.
Symons Xie, general manager of Anker SOLIX, says the Philippines is well positioned for a shift to decentralized energy because the case is not only environmental but also economic and practical. Ryan Tan, president of the NAVCO Group, says the launch marks the start of a long-term commitment to expand local presence and product offerings in the country.
Household energy offering and market implications
The launch centers on three products aimed at different household energy needs, from portable backup power to broader home energy management. The SOLIX XE Hybrid is designed as a whole-home solution that provides backup power while enabling solar self-consumption.According to the company, when paired with eight to 10 solar panels, the SOLIX XE Hybrid can generate an estimated 7,440 to 9,300 kWh annually using a Manila-area benchmark of about 1,550 equivalent full-load hours per year. The SolarBank 4 is positioned as an entry product for households moving into decentralized energy, with estimated annual generation of about 3,720 kWh with four panels and about 5,580 kWh with six panels.
The S2000 is marketed as a portable, plug-and-play option for remote workers, frequent travelers, outdoor users and residents of smaller homes. The broader Anker SOLIX range also includes modular solar battery storage systems, solar balcony solutions and portable power stations, adding to options for households seeking greater energy independence.
In our earlier coverage of India’s clean energy investment surge, we highlighted how capital inflows rose 15% to $72 billion, lifting the country to fifth place globally in energy transition investment. We noted that this shift signals accelerating funding for renewable capacity and energy infrastructure, reinforcing the broader move toward cleaner, more resilient power systems.
