Virgin Galactic unveils new spaceship

Virgin Galactic announced that it will unveil the name for its newly built Delta Class Spaceship on October 28, following a public naming vote.

The company also stated that its lead Delta Class Spaceship will be transferred from the Spaceship Factory in Phoenix-Mesa to its new operational home at Spaceport America.

Virgin Galactic recently completed the Unity 35 glide flight at Spaceport America to advance pilot training for future commercial operations, according to a previous announcement. The company has also performed ground vibration testing on one of its spaceships, using bungee suspension and over 150 sensors to gather engineering data, as reported earlier this year. These steps follow ongoing preparations to introduce the Delta Class Spaceship into service.
