Pacific Biosciences opens 2026 grant

Pacific Biosciences of California has announced that applications are now open for the 2026 PacBio Fiber-seq SMRT Grant. The grant will award up to two winners with free sequencing services using HiFi sequencing technology in collaboration with Epicypher Fiber-seq.

Researchers working in plant or animal fields are invited to apply by outlining in 100 words or less how the technology could benefit their work. The initiative aims to support innovative research projects leveraging PacBio's advanced sequencing capabilities.

Pacific Biosciences of California has recently launched Vega SPRQ-Nx to expand HiFi sequencing access for biopharma research. The company has also provided its sequencing technology to an undiagnosed disease hackathon in Singapore. These initiatives highlight PacBio's ongoing engagement with the research community.
